FERRY COUNTY FAIR
Ferry County Fairgrounds, Republic, WA
September 1-6, 2009

The Ferry County Fair was a success to some, and learning experiences to others!  The judge, Doug Evenson was a by the book judge, and did a real good, and fair job at judging.  He had high expectations, and that is good for some of the students to see that.  He will definately prepare them for next year, a little work, polish and elbow grease!  Showing this year at the fair from Thomas Training was Seniors Marcella Lane, Angelique Sebree, Charlotte Mills, and Jessica Ackerson.  Intermediates were Kacie Lane, Brittney Mumford, Rebekah Eberly, Rebecca Smoak, Teayana Dillon and Nikki Willett.  In Juniors was Jessica Eberly.  Congratulations to Grand and Reserve Champions, Marcella Lane, Angelique Sebree, Charlotte Mills, Kacie Lane, Brittney Mumford, Teayana Dillon and Jessica Eberly!  Everyone rode hard, and did a great job!  Showing in the open show was Irene Hildebrant, Marsha Wilson and Melinda Thomas.  Irene took 3rd in Jack Benny and Western Pleasure, and a 4th in Trail on her gelding Falcon.  Marsha showed halter with three of her horses, and got all blues!  She had two call backs with two of her horses, nice job!  Marsha rode English Equitation, English Pleasure, Jack Benny and Trail.  She took two 3rds in English and a 6th in trail on her gelding Dan.  Melinda rode her Palomino mare Countessa to two 1st place finishes in English Equitation and English Pleasure.

At the Pre-Fair competition before the main fair, three students did Power Point presentations in Public Speaking.  Those competing were Jessica Ackerson, Teayana Dillon and Rebecca Smoak.  All three girls did a Dynamite job and all got blues!  Good job girls!
