OPENING FOR WORKING STUDENT
DESCRIPTION: This is a non-paying job with the opportunity to work and learn with Trainer, Melinda Thomas. Open to applicants 12 years and older.
HOURS: 6-10 hours weekly, after school or job okay. Start date April 1st, 2011.
BENEFITS: REGULAR RIDING LESSONS NOT INCLUDED! But you will have opportunity to assist with the training horses, partial free lease of one of the lesson horses for personal use. Personal use meaning the opportunity to practice riding skills at the farm, trail riding with Melinda and the use of the horse for a 4-H project. If an adult, then use of the horse in open showing. Tack will be provided in the lease if needed.
DUTIES: Job would include farm maintenance (water troughs, clean paddocks, etc.), grooming and cleaning of training horses, if skilled enough, assist Melinda with the training of the Wildwind Farm, Inc. personally owned horses.
EXPECTATIONS: Melinda is looking for a highly motivated individual who has a love for horses. This job would give a horseless individual a chance to learn about horses and have the opportunity to care for a horse like their own.
